Default Just test driven a 350Z

Well what can I say, I've just spent two hours with this fantastic car and now I need some advice.

Although the car I drove had only 200 miles on the clock, the performance was awesome to say the least. This car feels like a beast, ready to be unleashed through the power of your right foot.

We all know how good the car looks from the outside, well sitting in the inside I can describe it only as sumptuous to say the least. It felt very much like sitting in the S2000, all dials and instrumentation is geared around being in the best place for the driver. The rev counter and speedo instrumentation move as you adjust the steering wheel. The dials in the centre of the dashboard are angled towards the driver, and the digital speedo looks great and allows you to see how fast you are going without taking your eye off the road.

I have to give a new paragraph to the engine. When you start the car it lets out a low roar that you can feel in echo in your chest cavity, the car seems to rock gently as you play with the accelerator. Although I could only take this model to 4,000 rpm as it wasn't run in, I could feel the power and potential the car had. There were time when I felt I could hear the car telling me not to change gear, but to take the car to 7,500 rpm towards the redline. The growl from the car is immense.

The car picks up through all the gears, and the gearbox itself is very similiar to the S2000, very short and a joy to drive through.

The looks the car got at traffic lights were amazing. (Always a good ego boost ).

So, here's my dilemma. I have the option to buy an unregistered 350Z, with

No the S will be going back. The 350Z would replace it. I don't have the space or the cash for both.

Ive had a 260zx a 280zx and i would say that i enjoyed both
lots of pepole looking so on and on,i think the 350 looks great,
But as regard to out right performance the s i think would take the 350 around the track as the s is lighter, maybe ill see one next year, on a track day ,it will more than likely shut me up!!!!
Nice car though!

I have seen a few 350Zs a while back and to be honest I don't particularly like the look of them.

A bit big for my liking and I think that the styling could look dated in a few years time.

I sat in one of the first Jap cars to come onto the country about 6mths ago, and really like it

Went to see another one at a dealers last week - I think they are ace - but I've not driven one.

I love the S and will probably keep it for at least another 3 years, but if I was changing the 350 would be at the top of my list

FWIW - I don't like th look of the forthcoming 350Z Cab - I hate cars with the roof cut off, as opposed to proper roadsters
