Default Just reversed into a f@rking post!

Works carpark, pitch black, not my normal space, reversing out at 3mph and bang ,farking low post behind the car, smacked the offside of the rear bumper putting a dent in it and bulging out the side. Looks like it might need a new bumper but may be able to salvage it. Bloody livid!

Whats Honda charging for a new rear bumper nowadays? I guess they dont come painted too?

I'm dont't think you can get factory painted rear bumpers.

Cost for a new unpainted one is around £250.

Part number: 71501-S2A-G01ZZ

Thanks chris, hopefully they will be able to repair it to keep the cost down. I'm still fuming with myself for doing this. The S looks poorly.

New bumper required.

£232.00 inlcuding VAT + £150.00 to be painted and fitted.. An expensive mistake to make!

Why not try a breaker, I got a nice one ready painted just needed cleaning up and a doddle to fit myself, just had to buy a few clips that broke when I took the old one off.

Don't feel too bad; teh number of people who have forgotten about those stupid 1/2 height posts and driven into one...

Why not make 'em with a post & orange ball on top or something?

The only thing they're good for at the moment is pounding the heads of the idiots responsible - I guarantee they'd not do it again!

I didnt really think of a breakers to be honest. I would have thought that most of the cars that are at a breakers would have had either a front or a rear end shunt and the bumpers would have been quite scarce. Besides its ordered up now and with painting and fitting will come in at around £380.00. It'll teach me to be more careful when reversing- Still miffed!

It's one of those things; generally, cars have the front end smashed in.

Unless you want a rear, in which case sod's law states an outbreak of hedge-reversing - which is what you can tell everyone you've done and they'll believe you!
