Just had interval service...
Just picked my S up at lunch time as dropped it in for a 4500 miles interim service and decided on taking to my local dealer, Peter Brooks, Sheffield. Very impressed with the service i got. Dropped the car off at 8.30am, got a Civic Type S cdti to get to work (nice car by the way!) and arranged to pick my S back up at 12.00pm. Got a phone call to tell me about it needing new fronts tyres (which i already have on order else where) and about the rear pads and discs (which i knew were getting ready but am leaving for the moment).
Car was ready and waiting, service booked stamped and they'd even vacuumed it on the inside!
Total bill was

Nice to get a positive report about a dealer for a change
Personally, I never saw any real need for the 4,500 mile oil changes, TBH. It's not like we get extreme weather conditions here, and modern oils are durable enough to last 12 months or 9,000 miles, so it always smacked to me of needless money in the dealer's pocket.
However, as you say, if the peace of mind it gives is worth

Its not my daily drive and i'm not racking up loads of miles so i thought i'd get this interim one done now then have a full service next year as its been a year since the last service but its only done 4.5k. Last owner wasnt using that much and had only done a few hundred miles from Nov last year to Jan this year when i bought it. Just wanted to be on the safe side!
