Well the car is absolutely gleaming and the stereo is finally how I want it so I was a happy bunny there.
I can only assume that for some reason his ploy was to take the wind out of my sails by pulling me over in front of everyone - but only proceded to make himself look like a berk. Wasted both our time and I don't suppose he felt any better.
I did leave him a plume of smoke to inhale as I vtec'd to 70 after the layby...70 mind you, the natuional speed limit I believe

No..his primary comment was to do with my head moving....
The number plate was an afterthought and he did not advise any corrective action thereby I could only assume it is acceptable.
He has a badge, and a hat....and presumably an inferiority complex, and he drives a van.
Our usual traffic police are top men, this bloke probably transports the dog food or something.
