Just got pulled
Sitting on a dual carraigeway (stationary in traffic) this morning enjoying a bouncy little MP3 (I believe its called 'Insomnia' ) I noticed a Police van in the inside lane. I didn't take any notice until he changed lane after a roundabout and came up behind me. I think I must have been doing all of 12MPH...still enjoying myself when....he put the lights and siren on
I pointed as if to say.."what..me ?" and he nodded and pointed to a layby. Not an easy feat in stationary traffic but eventually we managed it. I got out and walked up to him and said "Yes ?" He told me that in his opinion I was driving without due care and attention because my head was moving in time to the music.
"Also" he continued, "your numberplate spacing is incorrect"
"Yes it is" I replied, "but it makes the number more legible don't you think ?"
He didn't say anything for a minute so I said "So what would you like me to do then, sit miserably in my car like every other person....or take my 'particulars' down to the station ? "
He tried to look stern and told me to pay attention to my driving (at 12MPH ) and if ever he saw me ...........blah blah...
Idiot, I think the sun has got to his head.

Just a jealous t0$$er!
I'm not saying all the police are to$$ers - its like any cross section of society there will be some! ;-)
I got accused of showing off to my G/F by doing an estimated 45mph in a 30 limit once! - Till my wife jumped out and asked the officer to explain EXACTLY what I was doing wrong in HER car!?
Careful though maybe singing at 12mph is a new offence!?

Well the car is absolutely gleaming and the stereo is finally how I want it so I was a happy bunny there.
I can only assume that for some reason his ploy was to take the wind out of my sails by pulling me over in front of everyone - but only proceded to make himself look like a berk. Wasted both our time and I don't suppose he felt any better.
I did leave him a plume of smoke to inhale as I vtec'd to 70 after the layby...70 mind you, the natuional speed limit I believe
