Its disgusting what the British motorist is expected to fork out nowadays - I do not see how it could be any worse under the Tories so I will def be voting to get anti-car Labour out next time, they have far outstayed their welcome!

as hacked off as I am about this i've got to agree with Gad. If a government gets voted in on the back of an invisible manifesto we need to be properly concerned.
Cameron feeds on this by just critiscising current policy while not being explicit about his own.. very easy to do

while i'm on it i do believe grey imports, as they don't have a CO2 test as part of the SVA, can be taxed for relative peanuts.

I've seen one report in the times about the Prius not getting anything like the claimed mpg, and being less efficient than a 520d.
And on fith gear, the bluemotion's mpg was in the high 40's at best, no where near the 70+ claimed by VW.
Why can't honda just claim the s2000 does 50mpg, and is greener than than wind turbine that's been painted green, damnit.
