Thumbs up Just back from Service and needs.....

Hi all,

Just back from the garage after getting car serviced and undersealed.

I expected a few reports of things being wrong with her....here's the list:

1) Both front lower suspension arm rear bushes split at bonding
2) Both front suspension anti-roll bar links worn
3) Slight oil leak from timing chain cover

The thing is, they say that Honda dont sell the suspension bushes separately and that I'd need to get 2 x suspension arm kits at

No.1 doesnt make any sense, either front lower bushes or rear lower bushes or is me being a retard there are different types of bushes.

Your into the realms of sezied bushes.

A combo off cutting out, pressing/burning the existing bushes from your arms is needed.

Parts for the geo would be around

I think the OP means the front lower rears - the dreaded horizontal ones you cant buy easily!
They do look spilt though - they are meant to be like that so best to double check they aren't making a mistake!

The links easy enough, and split bushes or links are an MOT fail.
It will tell you if its advisory or not, which means you dont HAVE to do it.

The timing chain leak is your biggest hassle though, its a long job to re-gasket that.

I've just had delivered Mugen front compliance bushes (the horizontal ones!) from King Motorsports in the USA.

$80 + $35 delivery +

Not telling you to suck eggs dude, but make sure they go in the right way around - look at the ones you extract

Actually, as an upgrade, do the Mugens still have the holes to allow movement in one horizontal plane more than the other (like stock) ?

I see you have an 04 (mine's an 03) so not sure if same part (probably is though), howevever go to http://www.kingmotorsports.com select your car/year in dropdown, then click Mugen in the other dropdown, there's a suspension link to the left of the drop downs and you'll see the bits listed.

You may want to wait a week though, by then my mechanic will have fitted mine so I can give feedback on whether they fitted ok, change to steering afterwards etc..
