Jump starting
Just a quick paranoid question I cant see any reason why not but is it ok to jump start a diesel mondeo from the S2000 ?
And yes that is a serious question, its clearly not my mondeo.

i think your S battery is so piddly the mundano will just grunt
diesels have about 3 times higher compression than petrols so pull some serious amps on the starter..
i had a browse and the web says a typical petrol needs 120-180 amps to start whereas a typical diesel needs 200-300 amps
(a vantage needs 400 amps!!!)
i wouldn't.. i'd push the diesel instead (off a cliff)

Lol oddly enough the diesel is to be sold very soon.
Good to read that speed_bump has successful used it to start stuff.
Mostly I just wanted to know if there was some overriding weird reason not to do it, sounds like it should be ok.
Going to try about 3pm, assume it worked if I dont postback and thanks for your thoughts.
