Been told to check my bearings first before I do halfshafts.

How would I do that?

Hi Ian, you'll need to jack the car up and place your hands on either side of the wheel, now see if there is any play in the bearing by trying to move the wheel from side to side, you will know right away as there will be play in the wheel, these can also be tightened if they are loose

Thanks mate... pretty sure Chris did that when I had my corner weighting done

Half shafts it is then... SO if I ask for them, will a breaker know what I am on about?

Will 04+ half shafts fit a 2002?

Hi Ian. I'm sure they're all the same regardless of model year. Fenland helped me out when I needed to do this. The vibration/judder is quite a 'heavy' vibration and not akin to bearings if you ask me. Trouble is, you'll struggle to know which side is the problem until the halfshaft is actually replaced. I had my nearside only done (because Fenland sent me two nearside shafts by mistake!) and that cured it without having to do the offside.

I have an off-side still in Fenland's cling film. If you need it (see my earlier comments about it being difficult to identify which side has the problem) I'm sure we can come to an arrangement
