Surely you'd have a case for rejecting the car outright.
It has never been right from day one and all the history is documented at Honda.
If I were in your shoes I'd be exasperated too. I'd want my cash back and go and find a decent replacement.

FYI if my third engine fails (two replacements to-date,
36k now on the clock) I'll be proposing that I reject the vehicle for sure....

I'll wait to see what HUK come back with on Wednesday before I go off and have that conversation with my legal advisor.

Any beach in mind?
FWIW the car currently resides at Bristol Honda...it's going nowhere till HUK find a 3rd gear synchroniser

I don't know what to say Bokkie, it's such an awfull situation for you. The only helpfull suggestion I can think of is to maybe contact Auto express magazine and see if they can get involved on your behalf

They have good relations with Honda and are Honda's magazine of choice.
I know this as many magazines were vying for HUK's press car at Euromeet, but Honda decided to give the car and story to Auto Express.
Make up your own mind what that says.

You must have the patience of a saint
I'd certainly be looking to reject the car
Try Consumer Direct for some advice (Trading Standards)
It might not be as easy as it seems, these things rarely are, but how much time has your car spent off the road ?
AFAIK goods must be free from defect, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality, your car obviously isn't
Manufacturers warranty's are all well and good if they solve the problem
This doesn't seem to be the case here

Bokkie, I feel for you. You really must have the patience of a saint as others have said, and an emotional bond with the car!
I on the other hand would have tried to feed it to someone at HUK by now. I was blowing a gasket over a ripped roof, faulty seat and smell when vtec'd so if I had these issues I think my wife would move out until I got them resolved or more likely returned the car!!!
