If yours does go pop - I'm confident that you will be mobile in an acceptable timeframe.
Unless you have bought it privately in a couple of years time.

Which goes back to my original comment.

Many more will get stung in the near future, with no route to obtain compensation.

Shocking if you happen to be one of them.

But I guess at least one or two will turn up on here in years to come.

Thanks for comments on GEO guys, understand that if dealers dont have facilities to do this, but will certainly making enquiries as to how HONDA will see that is sorted. I am not fussed where it is done (within reason) but if this is something that the car NEEDS from new, then as a new car, something HONDA are liable for, whether that be the dealer or HUK I am really not fussed.

I am sure Porsche or BMW would not let cars leave the factory that require simple maintenance to protect longevity...or if they do, see that this is sorted, hate to say it so early into my ownership, but what with 09 engine woes a possibility and said GEO complications, the car i aspired to owning for so long is beginging to taste a little sour....

I was buying into sports car ownership, a little different from the rest, with Honda precision and reliability. At list price this is a near £30k car lets not forget. I understand that the GEO issue has been with Honda for some time, it appears however that they have not lifted a finger to sort it (from what i read on here.....).

Thanks for info tho guys and sorry to sound like a disgruntled owner.

Phil

You won't get anything out of Honda.
Many have tried for years.

About several hundred owners on here over a 10 year period.

Now.. as to the 08 / 09 engine issues.
Maybe that is something that we as a club can take to HUK.

We know that they know that there is an issue.

If you were the warranty company that Honda use - would you be happy taking on 08 and 09 cars.

It could certainly be an interesting discussion.

10 years!!!

Does it take that long for customer feedback to reach the factory....sounds like all they need to do is hire a guy with a tub of 'grease' and get him to splodge a bit on the bolts / bushes or wherever is needed.

Perhaps I'm just acting like a bear with a sore head, because I am a bear with a sore knee and can't drive the thing!!! Looking at it is starting to grate....I intend to drive it for 3 years then sell / chop in. Never had a new car before, its not quite the bed of roses I had hoped!

happy days.

The factory do not grease the bushes.

CG can grease the bushes ( as can other places )
But when you remove the bolts - insert grease and re-insert the bolt - your geometry goes out of kilter.

So, you are looking for a place that can grease the bolts and go the geo at the same time.

They don't. They never have.

Search for "seized bushes".

There are hundreds of posts here on this.
