Just drop off the hardtop, bring in the paperwork, spare keys etc and drive away with a new car. A simple swap.
The alternatives?
1/ Continue to wait until 27th Nov to get Snowy back.
Some 11-12 weeks from when she was first laid up.
And 14 weeks since the car was presented to Honda to address the problem.
But this date could easily slip - as previous guaranteed dates have slipped.
2/ Refund me.
That Skoda Yeti looks tempting.
I'm happy with the replacement car option.
I just need to decide whether I want the spoilers on it or not. ( no cost )
A chat with my local wrapping company on Monday - will give me the answer.
Now- the bit that everyone is interested in... the engines.
Nothing to report since last time.
Well - the engines are still crated on the floor of the dealer.
The replacement engine for my car is scheduled to arrive on 20th November.
When it does Trish's and my engine will be air freighted back to Japan.
HUK have pledged that once the engines have left the dealer - within 2-3 weeks we will get an update and we can post up.
Could the same thing happen with my new car?
Yes it could.
But HUK have had enough of a heads up to source replacement blocks and check for components not conforming to specification
So, any off the road time should really be minimal.
