I like carpet and also have dog hairs. My JRT LOVES the S - 50mph is the max, but window has to be down and doesn't like the hood coming back up - dog has taste. Over 50mph its back onto the seat - sitting on back paws strapped in with car harness and generally trying to look supercool. Not managed the photos as yet ... Doggles I do not think will be tolerated - he is a fussy little so and so. Any tips on dog hiar removal from carpet??? Apart from pick each one out by hand ....

Carpet is the way forward. The plastic/rubber console on the later model looks a bit naff imo.
As far as the gear surround is concerned though I would recommend paint thinner to totally remove the grey. The result is a chrome finish, not dissimilar to the gear stick and your new radio surround, oh and it wont chip away like the current one did!! Theres also a gear gaiter on ebay for about 15notes - made from leather with red stitching which I have also bought and complements the interior well. The pics they are using are actually my car, they asked me to send them through once I had fitted it.

I have read the thread about removing the Ti look paint, I will do it, but I think it'll be too much - may repaint in titanium-esk paint.. will have a go this week.

Looking good! I personally prefer the older style radio flap, but each to their own, you have done a good fitting it. Mats look great
I agree, the carpet centre console is preferable IMO to vinyl!

In that case I would strip it down anyway so you are painting onto a flat surface at that point I doubt you will apply the paint. I will try and take a photo but they really dont do the finish justice.
