S2000's are not a great car to import from a financial perspective...because there is the UK alternative, which generally speaking most people would feel more comfortable in buying...unless their is significant discount on a JDM. For cars where there is no UK model sold..it is much easier to set a decent price..since their are only other imports to compare against.

anyway - import one..and see how it goes, spend a bit, make a little and learn a lot. Asking questions on here won't really give you the data you need.

Don't underestimate the costs of importation. Picking older models is not necessarily the best option..since a lot of overhead cost per car is fixed - i.e. shipping + ESVA is the same cost irrespective of condition. Unless you can get cars at about 30-40% of the final retail value..you won't make much.

I disagree with the pricing that chappy was quoting earlier on....

11K to 13K for a 2000 import, which tree did you fall out of, pick up any autotrader....or for that matter any car auction, cars between that price are either CAT d's , or high mileage sheds.....anyhing worth looking at starts at 13.5K upwards, UK or import.....i spent the last 6 months trying, and got a JDM....
