On mine you unlock the car as normal then re-press and hold the unlock button for five seconds and the boot releases.

Daern,
its all down to flow. Firstly the car has to be locked, press the indented button to unlock the car, then press it again holding down the button untill the boot catch is released (around 1.5 seconds). It needs some practise. It's a feature of the S2000.

Indeed it is. Press unlock. Wait for indicators to go off. Press and hold unlock for 1-2s and <kerlunk> the boot opens!

I am chuffed to bits as I couldn't get this to work when I last tried

Works every time for me if you wait for the indicators to go out. - 100% sucess rate. The only time this doesn't work for me is if you get out, close the door alarm it and as you walk off forget something from the boot return and try it then it very rarely works. My observation is that you have to wait 30 secs for the system to fully alarm before you unlock it and for the above method to work.

Another nice feature that I only discovered the other day is if you unlock the car but don't open any doors/ boot it locks itself after 30 seconds (ish) - nice touch for a car without heated mirrors!

I noticed that to, I think it is meant has a safeguard against unlocking your car by accident? Shame the doors do not automatically lock anyway
