Nah...... Cocoa brown is a special interior colour, I assume he wouldn't be daft enough to go for a brown exterior as well so its probably silver knowing Mr Mays tastes.

In this months Top Gear magazine the column by Porter was about cool cars and it was the Boxster that inspired it:

"The Boxster is a great car, but it isn't cool"

I guess that if you are looking to spend 35-40k on a roadster then the Boxster would come in for serious consideration. I'm suprised May's buying one though. obviously the job's are paying well.

I like the Boxster S a lot, but Cocoa Brown?
It's so special that it's not on the Car Configurator web-page. Can anyone find a pic of it, cos it sounds f*cking horrible.

I've checked the configurator out, and you can have any colour Boxster you want for

I felt very cool in mine last night when I beat a silver MY04 off the lights on the Rainworth bypass. Thats three Ive come up against and beaten and one of those was in my old r32. So childish i know but i was grining from ear to ear.

i assume you've got a Boxster 'S' then Mole? the other boxsters are not good off the line at all. that car is very expensive to buy and run for its performance.. for boxster S money and running budget you can get a TVR Tamora/T350 and the difference in performance there is quite staggering.

fwiw i've had a tussle with a Boxster S and there really was nothing in it from 30 upto about a ton (km/h obviously).. never had a standing start race against anything useful really, a couple of lame, bloated Z4's, a lot of hot hatches but mainly diesel turbo mondeo's seem to want to have a go

still a very nice car but not my pick for the budget

I'm no expert on porsche numbers, i wasn't talking about the new one though cos that wasnt around when i bought my car (and so paid attention to these things) or indeed had that tussle.. what is yours then?

I've just had a look at the porka site.. S is still overpriced at 38k and still not in the same league as the Tamora I used as an example. The 'none S' appears to have chrome side vents

which look pants and is no more powerful than an S2000 (but is a lot more pricey) Is that some sort of punishment for being a tightwad
