Default I've flooded my car

Looks like I forgot to put the passenger window back up (which is strange for me) or it has a mind of it's own and has gone down at some point over the weekend, and the result of this is about an inch of water in the passenger foot well and a non-functional window and what looks like very wet speakers.

I'm not sure whether it is the switch or motor that is damaged as the window won't operate using the driver or passenger switch.

Is there a way to manually wind the window back up? I think I’ve heard on other cars that you can get a socket onto the drive wheel of the motor? Can you do this on s2's?

Use this link and remove your door panel insert to check if there is any damage to the window mechanism

Check your fuses too - once the thing has dried out!

I've got most of the water out and the roof will be down all day in the sun!

Are there any issues with me sticking a dehumidifier in the car overnight?

I would be inclined to remove the seat, door sill cover, rear passenger side trim behind the seat and lift the carpet to let air circulate through the underlay and carpets.

Thanks. I'll give this a go tonight.

Dehumidifier is a good idea - the last thing you want is that water sitting in the underlay and going stinky - it will be a royal pain to shift the smell if that happens.

I managed this yesterday too but it didn't flood, just very wet, heaters on max pointed at the floor and windows open on the way home seems to have dried them out for me.

Possible .......

"I'm not sure whether it is the switch or motor that is damaged as the window won't operate using the driver or passenger switch."

Chris .........

Have you knocked the red switch on the drivers door accidentally .......
