New cars *always* have little things wrong with them that are sorted by the manufacturer as they come off the boat/production line. Most of the time you don't know about it, but in this case it's a bit too obvious for them to sort without making a fuss, so they have fessed up with what seems to be a pretty honest attitude.

Re. chip
SC will try and touch it up. If I'm not happy with the result they will re-spray it. Seems pretty good to me.
Re. Tax and Registration
Car was registered yesterday. SC salesman drove the 20 miles to my home and delivered the tax disc. Then showed my wife all the controls so she felt confident to drive the car
Wife picked me up from the station in the S and let me drive home
Very nice car: more comfortable than the NSX, more leg room than the NSX or 993, taut, responsive, lithe. But a bit boomy around 3500 revs. Is that because of the Mugen bits or are standard cars like this.
SC recommended keeping revs below 4000 for 1st 600miles, but I note the FAQ says to keep below 6000. So who's correct (my guess is that SC say 4000 expecting you to exceed it)?
Going to have to loose some flab (power to weight definitely suffers with me in the car
