Plexus seems to be the thing a lot of people use.
Do a search in the UK forum on 'rear screen' - lots of chat!

I've just done my rear plastic window today and it was the worst it's ever been. You'll find most of the haze/film accumulates on the inside. I washed mine inside and out with a sponge, warm water and a little Fairy Liquid. I did this 3 times drying with a leather and then a soft cloth each time. Finally I removed the last traces of any film with motorcycle visor cleaner which you can get from Halfords. Buff up when you've finished, both inside and out with a soft dry cloth. Clear as a bell now.

Lots of people swear by Plexus which is a specialist plastic cleaning liquid widely used in aviation. The main thing is not to use anything abrasive on it and only soft cloths.

I used the cream cleaner from BMW, why Honda don't have an equivalent is beyond me.

Honda do have a good plastic cleaner - it's for their motorcycle plastic fairing - I find it easier to use than plexus.

However I agree with CT, you can keep it pretty clean without having to resort to fancy stuff. Just have to be a bit patient to do every corner from the inside.

Plexus brought up my (neglected) window superbly. Can't recommend it highly enough - and it smells nice too

You can also try any Lens Cleaner supplied for spectacles and avaialble from all Opticians / High Street Optical Labs. These are usually formulated for glass and plastic and I have found them to be blinkin' marvellous. I use "Solution 30" for my glasses, but it is great for S2 windows, dash-display plastic and so on. I haven't tried it on the rear window 'cos mines MY02.

Firstly, this is my first post so 'hello everyone'!

Has anyone else found that the rear screen scratches very easily with the roof going up and down a lot, whether it's clean or not? I think it is because the screen rubs against the plastic tray in the back. I've put some soft material on top of the plastic to see if this stops it. We'll see if it works.

As for the rear screen, I've heard that car polish is quite good but I've never tried it.

Danners.

Danners Welcome

Muz sells a mat that covers the parcel shelf and stops the scratching. If your hood is going down for long periods then the tube / protector is also useful.

As for cleaning the screen I use a product that Tiff recommended, Meguiars #17 (sorry for the delay) and after using that inside and out I polish both sides with Plexus. Does a good job.

Is your rear screen glass or plastic (pre-MY02)?
If the former, I think you'll find that a lot of owners with plastic screens use a cardboard tube to support the folded hood. These, strangely, are available from me for
