Default Ipod storage for MY00

I'm looking into buying a KCA 420I for my Alpine HU. Problem is i've seen the boys with the newer cars use the new console to hide their Ipods.

Anyone out have any recommendations of where to place the Ipod? (pref not just lying on passenger seat ). Belkin do a holder that would use up the cup holder, but i'm not sure it would fit very well

Was also gonna put the KCA 420I behind or under the passenger seat. Anyone have any better suggestions?

Thanks

Boab

You could put a decent MP3 player in the glove box, held in place by the elastic strap or fabricate some sort of holder. Ipod id just store in a bin. n

Yeah well there is no chance of me going through the pain of putting my music onto something else now.

You've gave me an idea though. I'm thinking an armband elastic type thing around the door. Should keep the thing in place. Could lodge it against the console i guess.

Cheers

There should already be an elastic strap on the inside of the door, or cut to shape a piece of foam to hold the ipod snugly and then secure this under the strap.

Yeah i do know that , but will the door still shut with the wire from the Ipod. Not sure on the thickness of this wire hence the reason for putting it outside the Glovebox.

You can run the wire under the transmission tunnel carpet/fake leather/real leather and then have it come up inside the glovebox by drilling a small hole in the base.

Looks sweet. That looks like a winner. Thanks

Still stuck on where best to house the 420i though. Any suggestions on that would be appreciated. I think from what i've read a few on here have them.

One of the seat back pockets or under a seat. You could even mount it in the boot where the comedy spare wheel normally goes.
