Hope there are some Ipod Gurus on here

As much as I despise the spawn of Apple, I wouldn't mind getting it to work properly in my car.

When I had my Pioneer DEH-6800MP stereo in my old car with the CD-IB-100 ipod adaptor, the ipod would come up with, this accessory doesn't support charging, and it'd be flat in 45 mins.

I am led to believe there is an adaptor of some sort to convert the pin configurations so it will charge, I've looked but have found nothing

Any help would be appreciated

Have a look on Ebay, I'm sure there will be something a lot cheaper.

i have the same problem with my nano on the stock head unit,but it charges my old ipod..????

They changed from firewire to USB charging interface, that's why. Connector looks the same, but the insides are different.
