Ipod compatible head units
Hi there,
Can anyone recommend a good, Ipod compatible head unit that is alsp compatible with the S2000's stereo controls.
How do you connect your Ipod to it and where in the car do you store the Ipod?
Thanks
Hayd

You would have to buy a modifry (or similar) dash adapter to get any aftermarket head unit to work with the S2000 dash controls.
As for I Pod ready units - many of the Alpines are by using the Alpine KC-420i adapter. This is a small box which plugs into your head unit and then has a lead which allows you to plug your I pod into. You can then access all your music from the menu on the head unit.
Other than that there are a few head units from Alpine which actually dont need the 420 adapter and you can plug straight in. I would go for one of these to save space etc.

I fitted an Alpine 9885 (with the "Full Speed iPod" connection) yesterday.
I used the Alpine dash control retainer (KCE-865B) and it works great!
My iPod lives in the pocket in the back of the passenger seat and the cable runs along under the centre console (the leather bit), it just tucks under neath the poppers, so no need to remove anything.

I fitted a Pioneer head unit, because I wanted bluetooth built in for my mobile. I fitted the pioneer iPod adapter box behind the head unit, up above the foot rest. This setup works superbly with no need to touch the iPod at all. The head unit lists everything as if it were a CD changer with hundreds of discs in.
I used the adapter cable from 'countdown enterprises' - someone on here recommended it. It was
