Price is about right.
Size is roughly 100x120x35mm..
it looked a lot bigger in the pictures but thats small enough to hide somewhere, just trying to make up my mind over mini ipod or a 40g normal one. having spent last three hours loading cds in to the pc in readness for when i get it. have 350 more cds to load up.

That's only a rough measurement, I was waving a tape measure about blind under the seat!

If you've got 350 CDs, forget the iPod mini, IMHO. GF has an iPod mini, and it's great for small collections, or if you can be bothered to keep swapping the music about on it. Personally, I can't see the point, if you're gonna carry a lot of music it may as well be all of it, 40gb iPod for me.

Also - if you own the CDs then you own the rights to the music. Meaning, AFAICS, that downloading the albums you own is not illegal, it's just saving time. You could stack all the albums up and let them DL overnight, f'rinstance...
(Not entirely sure on the legality of that, but that's how I read it. The person sharing the music is probably still breaking the law, but if you own it I can't see the difference in ripping it, or DLing it.)

yeah i was thinking of going for the 40GB version now as i was just reading how much more it stores. i will always buy cds but will also start downloading certain singles i like instead of buying every album for one song.

pricing on these seems to be set i always have a good hunt about before i buy as it has proved worth while but not it seems on these.
