Default Invidia Exhaust

Hi all,

I have recently purchased a MCB S2000 which had an Invidia exhaust fitted. I also have the stock one and am in 2 minds whether to sell the exhaust and put the stock one back on or doing some research I have seen reference to bungs. Do the bungs just quieten down the sound and does anyone know how it would sound compared to stock with the bungs in.

Does anyone know where I can get them from and how much they would be and if they are easy to fit. I note that there is a small hole in the bottom of each pipe, is this where the bung would be secured.

Thanks in advance for any comments.

The bungs would quieten it down, but not to anywhere near the level of the stock exhaust. Try youtube for audio clips.

I don't know where you could purchase them, but yes, they would attach using the holes in the tips, and are very easy to fit...even for a mechanical retard

Thanks I will check youtube, that sounds the solution as I don't want to quieten down to stock levels but I find the drone a little annoying on long motorway journeys, that said, it sounds great in the lanes when blasting through the gears. Also the flexibility to put in and out would also be good. Now I need to source some.

They also effect performance, although I only tested this on a singlepipe on a dyno.

You may tame the drone a little bit, but aftermarket exhausts have inherently alot more drone than the OEM system, which is really rather good at keeping it to a reasonable level.

Around 10bhp at fly in vtec and a bumpy torque curve, no noticeable loss when not in vtec.

Spoon n1 single pipe with other bolt on mods.

Type universal exhaust bung into the search bar on that well known auction site
Around £24 each
