Default invertor? or other?

some of you may have seen i changed out my main HID bulb and re-sealed my headlight (without pulling apart) but the light is now intermitently not coming on.. sometimes it flickers and comes on all ok, other times it is running and just goes off.. typically it also looks nothing like the original bulb in the other side (do you think this is just down to cheap bulbs, should i have got geniune ones!!? thought these were direct replacements.. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...=STRK:MEWNX:IT) any views on the light intermitently working would interesting, need to get it sorted so i can drive at night without worrying!

Bulbs can change with age so you would normally replace in pairs to keep them similar. I guess if you buy a Honda bulb it may be similar but they still vary with time.

check all wiring through but it sounds like the ballast (inverter). Try swapping the ballasts over and see if problem goes with. get one from a breaker IIRC dealers are not cheap.

Sounds like you didn't put something back together quite right

Check the connectors before taking any drastic action
