I keep getting an intermittent whistling noise in the cabin. It last for three or four seconds and sounds like a high RPM fan spinning. It's not very loud but just a bit of a mystery as to what's doing it and I would like to find out.

Any ideas?

try driving with the fan/air con off audio off see if it goes. Are there and common things you can note, accelerating/decelerating any particula gear, moving stationary etc.
