TPS = throttle position sensor. The resistor on the throttle body that tells the ECU how open the throttle is. (If it's reading too high, the ECU won't go into idle mode).

I had this problem every so often - a grounding kit seemed to solve it.
You aren't running with the air box cover off are you? If the intake is taking in hot air it can result in this as well.
Good luck solving the problem.

Hi All
Gave the Map sensor a whack as a new one is in the post and it seems to have stopped but I also filled up the tank, and it seems to happen in the last 3 bars of the fuels tank. Ill keep an eye on it and keep you posted. Thanks again BM Ill pass the details onto the mechanic.

Hi All
So far:
Tried the Map whack - no joy
Replaced with new map sensor - wow the car is so much smoother!! no joy fixing the stalling
Checked the IACV and TPS - and they are fine but still stalling
Took it to Brighton Honda who said that it needed an Idle reset and they rebooted the ECU re programmed it?? and ran it at the correct idel for 10 mins.
Car is transformed have not had a repeat of the stall yet but its early days so Ill keep an eye on it and keep you all updated.
