Interior light, light not coming on when door open
So i was having problems getting my interior lights to come on when the doors are open, the switch didnt even work but manual buttons did - https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=761035
Its seem I'm not the only one either who's had problems (seems common), i also think its very unlikely its the door pins as they have a rubber boot on (they were clean as a whistle on mine). Also you know the pins are working as when the keys are in and doors are open a chime sound is present.
1. Remove the platic lens cover only.
2. This reveals the inside noting the two screws either side (ground strap on one), remove these 2 screws and pull down gently, a connector is revealed.
3. Unclip the connector which allows the whole unit to be released, then lay the unit down on a flat surface (careful not to smash the bulbs). Now remove the 2 screws either side of the white switch housing, lift this up which reveals connections and the 4 connectors on the switch itself. Be careful because the switch and springs etc can fall out.
The problem is surface corrosion on both the switch and connection housing, clean this up and use a contact cleaner to stop it happening again.
4. Put it all back to together and voila!

A little off topic as my lights are working fine, im just replacing them with LED one
I purchased a pair of multi LED interior bulbs thinking they were just a standard size but the OEM one are a lot shorter in length. I've measured 28mm
there was a thread in the recently with a photo of what appeared to have the standard festoon connectionsn but the light were laid out like a H shape. cant find it though.
I have found various sized interior LED lights but think 31mm should be ok?
What do you guys have if not OEM bulbs? Ta

My passenger side door switch is on the blink, if you wiggle the switch the light will come on. Need to get some switch cleaner in there just have not got round to it and as the drivers side is working and I am a bit of a billy no mates, it makes no odds to me!
