I came from FWD Honda's to the S2000, and i have far more faith in the FWD capability of the Civic VTi and the Prelude VTi's handling than i do the RWD S2000.
I could push my modified EM1 Civic (180bhp) and BB8 Prelude (220bhp) much harder in the corners than the S2000 without having to worry about losing it. The Civic and Prelude simply gripped like no other, understeer was very little if im honest. I don't feel i can push the S2K anywhere near that hard. From comparison videos ive seen of new FWD Hondas racing S2000's on track, the EP3's and DC5's always come out on top through the corners. The S can catch up on straight's but thats all.
TBH i think i am more lended to FWD style of driving, so take anything i say with a pinch of salt. I had a 350z before and i hated that for handling, the S2000 is far superior in that department.

That's really the only difference between them - other than the nose-heavy 'Lude's PMI makes turn-in a bit slower & it rolls more.
Either car is a truly exceptional handler, but in a different way. One full-on manual, the other wonderfully automated.

Yea, i see where your coming from. The Prelude did almost feel like it was cornering itself with the 4WS and Koni suspension, it was flawless, and ive never been able to take corners like i did in that with any other car, it was on rails, even better than the Civic was. I just don't feel the same confidence with the S2000, maybe it will feel better after the Koni's are on, i dont know. I just feel more inspired and safe with FWD Honda's personally i think.

Oh; the 'Lude is off the scale compared to a Civ, even with boggo dampers. It's the way it rotates round your ears that makes it feel so perfect. The S2000 sort of does it too, but you are seated further back, not perfectly centrally.
Main difference is the wet-road purchase; the Lude doesn't have that on-limit edginess that makes the S2000 such fun as it begins to drift.
