When I had to claim four years ago, I complained that the premium had gone up despite my NC protection. But was promptly told I was still receiving the same % discount, but on a higher initial premium.

Another thing to note on NCD is that if you pay to protect it with one company, it does not necessarily mean another company will honour it (although some do these days). So the only company you are guaranteed to keep it with is the one that has the opportunity to scr*w you for premiums going forward (as with Grayprice)
