I'd go with Lifesure over Adrian Flux. They use the same underwriters, are normally cheaper, and Adrian Flux have a terrible reputation should you ever need to make a claim.

I thought about a GT as mine is also parked outside, but i couldn't be bothered in the end. I've got nowhere to store the hardtop during the winter, and after driving one with the hardtop fitted and noticing all the wind noise from the badly fitting window seals. decided i'd prefer not to bother (and this was a dealer demonstrator-i'd have thought they would at least have sorted out the seals but they obviously couldn't be arsed).

I went through the same dilemna as you with respect to what car to choose. Ultimately the TT just didn't feel special enough, the 350z is too heavy and i think the soft top version is just plain ugly, and i looked at a VX220 Turbo instead of the elise. In the end the choice came down to the s2k (and this would be my second) and the VX220T. I test drove the VXt, loved it, but ultimately decided i just couldn't cope with it as a daily driver. So, i bought my second S2k from Bob Gerards and they were great.

Steveo did you actually try confused.com for the sake of sanity?

Also Elephant and Admiral have to be tried as well. Check your annual mileage as sub 9k you'll see a discount. Also with VSA fitted apparently it improves.

I have 5 pts +1 claim and no NCB , wife has 6pts on a 6k annual mileage we're looking at 800 quid max from Admiral and got 600 on their 10 month NCB accelerator.

It really sounds like you're getting a crappy deal on the insurance, unless of course you're 17 and live in Brixton!

If you have other policies can you use the NCB from those on the S and start with nothing on one of the other cars?

Nope I still don't get it Steveo, unless where you live is a factor, I know Manchester and it's area can be really heavy on the loading.

Your age makes a difference but the loading decreases year on year. I'm 30 and my wife is 28 (it's in her name). May I suggest that you get married to reduce your premiums? Failing that put someone in their 50s, like your folks on your policy, that will help a boatload. You have lots of SP30s or something?!?

It just seems weird to me that you pay over twice as much as I do and you are apparently a lower risk.
