Never ever accept the renewal quote.
If you want to stay with you current insurer just get an online quote from their website and sign up again. Guaranteed to be cheaper and there's feck all they can do about it.

The thing is for the last 5 years I have phoned up Flux every year to negotiate a lower renewal and always do well out of it. They have always beaten my best quote.

On the baiss that they know that, why do they bother still send stupid quotes.
I think they could be smarter with their analysis and their approach IYAM.

Bit of a warning about swiftcover.com. They were my cheapest quote - after Norwich Union quoted

They do cover you if the courstesy car is supplied by the authorised repairer. Or at leas they did when my girlfriend had to make a claim through them in Jan this year.

But i had the same scenario, ie faxes not being recieved. The repairer said they were well known for being completly inefficient.

Insurance companies suck generally - they're a law unto themselves

Nothing is recognised as a modification - just a direct replacement in their opinion. They dont even charge for fancy exhausts, just charge the

That was certainly my view when I get got a ridiculous first annual renewal quote from Flux. I called them and said I could beat it quite easily having spent just 10 mins getting a couple of internet quotes. Their reply was that they would match it if I faxed a screen print to them.

Isn't that somewhat missing the point of usign a broker to find you the best price?! They seemingly expect me to do their job for them and then go through the hassle of sending them proof of what I can get elsewhere so they can match it.

Sod that. I took my business elsewhere on principle.

(Yes, I do understand why they do it and I can see the sense in it if the majority of punters do just apathetically renew. Still galling though)
