Direct Line renewal - £922.

Aviva quote - £625.

both with protected NCD and £650 excess (the lowest they offer on the S for us).

just thought I would share my experience as I know insurance is proving a little expensive for us high risk hooligans.

ha, can beat that already... sky are £600 with a £300 excess....

they are a broker however and I am always a little dubious about small independent insurers after a poor experience with my brother a few years back...

Just been quoted £288 with £650 excess by Aviva(my present insurer via AFlux), price is good but excess's have gone through the roof this year, up from £350 last time. Going to check around just in case I can do better.

Admiral quoted £520 with a 350 excess. I'm 50+ 6 points and two no fault claims in 2009.

Just accepted £580 from Sky with £300 excess with mods declared. Their original quote was £600 and when I said I had a few more people to call he immediately dropped down to £580. Next cheapest was Elephant with £644 and £350 excess so I'm happy.
32 yo, 6000miles pa, 11 years ncb, 1 claim in 09 for £11k, nice kentish postcode.

Just dealt with Aviva at £278 (£10 decrease when I clicked bonus protection?) £650 excess, 6 points (sp30) 2 no fault claims in 2009 too, so not too bad really.

Just had renewal in post, £970 from Noel Dazely, Massive bloody hike over last year. Sky got it down to £800 straight away,

Flux down to £695 FC with 8000 miles, 90day euro cover and £300 excess so I went with them.

26 with 3 years NC, no points or claims in a decent post code, garaged.

What pisses me off is all the quote were from the same underwriter!
