I'm 25, nearly 26, 6 years ncb, clean license. Ap1 s2000 insured Fully Comp, 9k annual mileage, garaged at night. Additional driver aged 53 with no claims or points, protected ncb. I paid a smidge over £500 which I was fairly happy with.
Previously running around in an '02 yaris t-sport as a stop gap car. Was paying £340 on that fully comp

So, I have managed to leave the rat race and finally retire, 3rd time lucky with no intentional return performances planned, albeit I am still getting offers.
Anyway, next years insurance quote hits the door mat, not bad, but a quick phone call to appraise them of the change of career - no more commuting and a considerable drop in mileage - result
£217 fully comp with legal expences - thanks Admiral I accept!
Sorry to all those youngsters and the not so young whose quotes still have a few zero's in there.

Hi all
Its that time of year again, ive just went onto a comparison website and quotemehappy.com was the cheapest and around £100 cheaper than my renewal from Sky insurance.
I was wondering if anyone has used this company and if there are any differences between the insurance companies.
Thanks

Cheap insurance for me last year but when I phoned them up to say I have added an induction kit they wouldn't insure me! I found cheaper elsewhere with no extra should I modify the car further during the period of insurance.

Just had my renewal notice from Swiftcover which although down about £60 from last year, I knew I couldn't use as I recently fitted an induction kit. I'd read somewhere on here a while back that they won't insure you if you have any performance enhancing mods but thought I'd call them anyway to found out for myself and sure enough they wont.
I did a quick search on here and found not one thread on insurance (strange) so did a Google search and the S2KUK page came up. In the same thread where I'd heard about Swiftcover not covering for mods I recalled the name Flux which was on the S2KUK list of insurers so gave them a call. Being a member they gave me a discounted rate which covered my mods of less than Swiftcover's renewal fee!! Happy days.
Just thought I'd mention this here in case anyone is looking for insurance or is thinking of adding mods and not considered the insurance implications.
