I'd strongly recommend calling insurers direct near month end. The Telesales guys have rigid targets to hit and you can negotiate good deals if they are off target. I'm my particular place of business they can offer up to 25% discount on to of any other deals going so its worth pushing to price match / beat.
As staff I get a good deal, £255 fully comp with mods declared, PNCD, etc on multicar policy based in Hampshire

And another thing, after 21st December 2012, the EU Gender Directive came into force, effectively making it illegal for Insurers to discriminate based on gender. We all know that men get higher premiums due to chavvy boy racer types crashing so often. This is no longer legal.
This means that insurers are restructuring their pricing models so its worth shopping around many places as they all have differing models. Some are hiking female premiums to match men, others are bringing male premiums down to match women. Good luck!

Bringing it down? Do you really believe that?

It does sound unlikely, but if one does it, it becomes a retention battle so other follow.
Here's hoping!

Did a quote for me and the other half on the 17th December, used all the comparison sites......then on the 22nd December I did it again, same details NO changes... so bridging the deadline of the 21st.

Guess what? up by £12, okay not a lot but just think about it for a moment.

The girls insurance goes up and the men comes down okay that means that I am likely to get and increase overall, the "discrimination" gone so it goes up by more than the mens comes down...........

Then I thought lets take the female out of the equation.....premium went UP £50 !!! You can't win against the bar stewards in the insurance industry.

Now let me tell you that the original thoughts about this change were that the under 25 years would take the hit.....not so, I have over 35 years driving history, and my other half too, no claims....but I do have a few..ahem... other tickets!.

Hi everyone,

Just thought i would give an updated post on current good insurance companies to use.

I am 24, 3years no claims, one 50/50 accident and one sp30. Was struggling to get quotes under £2800 for my S2000 GT.

Spoke to Danny at SKY INSURANCE having seen them on the members deal area and ended up getting great cover for £1400.

Let the S2K journey begin!!!
