quick update -
got a quote through Henderson & Taylor - they quoted through Aviva and did £601 for the same details as my previous post, kept "down south" with me.

The key benefit - it includes cover for 5 track days

I have just paid for the insurance on my car today. Im 28 with 6 years no claims. I paid just under £600 for the year fully comp.

I dealt with Sam at Sky Insurance and found them to be very helpful to deal with. I got a 20% reduction for being a paid member which was great considering the membership only cost me around £20.

Thumbs up

Robbing Bastards is too good a word for them. You did tell them its a grey interior not black??They will never pay out if they find that out....as if it makes a difference.I may have mentioned before they are greedy robbing bastards, and if insurance wasnt compulsory,it would be free with a gallon of petrol.

At the moment I have 5 vehicels insured,I can only drive one at a time....I cant do that very often because I am driving 2000 miles a week in a truck.

I dread to think what they are going to quote me,
800 hp but only running at 500 on the road, quaife box,hi-spec brakes all round, uprated shocks,ARBs,Bonnet,Password JDM undertray, wheels ECU,Engine,Diff, slight body mods, plus other bits i cant remember

Im 55 never ever claimed a penny, summer use only alarmed garage,Sky came back with £1200 and informed me I was lucky to get a quote so cheap???
Its a good thing I am not running it this year,I couldnt afford to insure it.At the mo its insured for storage only and thats expensive.

Adrian-Flux couldn't quote under £1600, A+ couldn't get it under £2000.

Random quote on confused.com, Elephant came in at £830 which I grabbed.

32 with 4 years NCB, what good is it with these companies offering 20% discount etc if their quotes practically double anyone elses to begin with. Insurance is a joke.

Makes me laugh that Sky will offer to insure s2k's in Hackney but not Manchester or areas of Stockport LOL

Probably because I know of about 10 cars that have been written off in the last 6-9 months...
