These figures mean nothing unless the excess is also given!

I'm wondering what the mileage per annum you guys are stating with your "quotes" or agreements. I reckon half of you must be less than 6,000 miles a year. I don't think my postcode helps, bl**dy insurers!

Unless he also has as standard S2k, the figures mean nothing as he is driving with potentially invalid insurance. Non-declared mods = insurance not worth the paper it is written on

I am looking at getting back into an S2000 after owning an 09 Moonrock for a few months almost two years ago.

I also have a Lotus Elise which I intend to keep. I have 6 years NCB on the Elise at the moment.

I am 42 and intend to use the S2000 as my main car to commute two and from work with an annual mileage of 15K miles. The car will have to sleep outside on the drive as the Elise will be in the garage.

I have been phoning around trying to get insurance quotes. My current insurer has quoted £670 (this includes discounts and a partially mirrored NCB). Two other firms I have called (Sky Insurance and Chris Knott) have both said their underwriters are simply not interested in insuring me

I don't understand why it is proving to be so tricky to get a reasonable insurance quote - anyone got any insights or comparative stories???
