Default Insurance

Hi everyone,

I'm new to this website as I am currently looking to buy an S2000 or a Boxster.
(PS. I don't want to start a S2000 v Boxster war here)

I currently have a 3rd Gen CRX VTI which I have owned for 5 years and have modded slightly. Before that I owned a 2nd Gen CRX for 3 years so I am swaying towards the S2000 as I have never had a single problem with either CRX.

The plus points in buying a S2 over the boxster is price. I can get a newer lower mileage S2 for

The S2000 will cost more to insure than a 2.5 or 2.7 Boxster but thats because its a faster/better car

The money you save buying the S2000 will be eaten up in part by the increased insurance costs...... but the S will be cheaper to service....... its swings and roundabouts!

Test drive them both and then decide! Just make sure you use the full rev range in the S otherwise you'll miss the point!

oh yes and might be worth going on boxa.net as they have an insurance element to the forum

I guess that the insurance will be cheaper on the Boxster as less seem to get trashed and the 2.5 is of course quite a bit slower

Still they do seem to attract scum with keys
