You've got too many morals you have!

What are you doing hanging about round here?

to be honest that was a few years ago now....all that bothers me is money, money and more money. I aint in IT for the pleasure of it, just the money

Sadly the money is tailing off at the moment...drastically

Might need a career change soon

Sooner or later (I pray) BM's so-called image will come toppling down. How ugly cars like the Z4 can do them good, the mind boggles, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder (I still p*ss myself when I see those side repeaters and the toblerone section rollover hoops) I personally include them in the massmarket category, since every man and his dog seems to think they have to buy one, just like the XR3 when it was realeased 20+ years ago

It's because they want to sell cars in huge quantities that they'll end up with the same image problem Ford has, solved for them by buying Jaguar, Volvo and Aston.

Mind you, now Porsche do a Land Rover lookalike, they can hardly be called 'aspirational'

Bear in mind though, that the Porsche "Land Rover lookalike" that you mention will stay with a S2K on the straight and round the twisties, while carrying 4 people in luxury!

Ugly yes, but you can't knock the technology!

I don't see why a Z4 shouldn't be compared to a Boxster. It looks good. The performance is good and I've little doubt despite not having driven one that it will handle well. In due course an M version will come out which will eat a Boxster S for breakfast.

stay with a S2K round the twisties, heh? With a centre of gravity as high as a Leyland bus and the unsprung weight to match? I can't disprove what you say as I've never been able to keep down the contents of my stomach when I look at the Porsche LRover, but something tells me that sounds just a tad unlikely

Yep, bearing in mind the 0-60 of the 3 litre, an M4 roadster should be an absolute monster !! Shame they don't just update the old "breadvan" instead though - I love the mad look of that batmobile!
