The material removes resonance from metal - there's no point trying to stretch it across voids IMO. The plastic sheeting is to stop water ingress.

Did this yesterday. The black adhesive is kinda nasty stuff!

Anyway, slapped it pretty much everywhere I could and has made a noticeable difference. Now to rid myself of the crap HU.......!!

Did my doors with Ivanhoe (apparently the same as Brown Bread) on Sunday. Didn't exactly cover the whole door skin, but put it on the front part of the inner door skin and some on the outer door skin behind the speaker. Makes a hell of a difference (as did making sure the polarity was right on the speakers!) to the deeper bass. It's virtually like having a small sub in the door now!
