Default Installed FD2 gear knob

I installed an FD2 gear knob off a CTR today. Brushed gear knob and red lettering

I installed it without the locking nut. Its quite a bit smaller and sits just over 1/2 inch lower. I find shifting is better and fits more snug in my hand, from time to time i would miss gears with the stock gear knob.

For 30 odd quid i cant complain.

Looks good, but I'll wait for the price crash.

LOL so last year, some of the FD2 shift knob owners have already upgraded to the ARC Ti, which sits even lower and is even better still!

I just felt the stock one sat too high and wasnt the best shape.

Mind you i had to stuff plastic down it to align it correctly
Seems like a hassle. Next time give it a squirt of thread lock and let it set in position.

BTW I still have a spare ARC Ti in the FS section.

I've got the same one mate, was a pressie off the wife for Crimbo. Much better than the stock item IMO, one of the previous owners of my car had far too much bling on their fingers as the original knob was battered.
