Default Inspected 2002 UK model Today

Just got back from my dealer who had just taken delivery of a 2002, strangely enough Monte Carlo blue, a few things that struck me (among many to long to list)

1/ Honda badges (H) are no longer solid, so now when you polish them all the white dried polish sticks in the corners.

2/ wheels are the same except that the castings seem rougher on the inner edges and the spoke facings are now polished.

3/ Single CD player but with the same problem as the cassette, you cant put a CD into the mouth when you are in 1st, 3rd, 5th gear position.

4/ Netting on the lower part of the doors, these will hold a small matchbox ONLY.

5/ The chrome accents on the door grab handle, tweeter surround, door handle are not chrome at all, just painted dull silver.

6/ Head light washer button moved to RHSide of binnacle (good move)

7/ Rear window IMO looks even smaller in real life.

8/ Gear knob (nice)

9/ Alloy dead pedal, looks a bit cheap, certainly the Coastal metals one looks better.

10/ Clear side repeaters.

11/ Trim around the gear stick boot is the same colour as the facings on the binnacle around the switches, a silvery grey colour.

As I said them are a few of the bits I can remember right now.

Biker1 - thx for that - sounds like there cd be a bit of replacement to do there.
So who's the lucky guy who takes delivery of this this weekend

But it's comforting to know they are actually in the country - some even at a dealers! Huddersfield is a bloody long way from Swindon - why didn't they go to Guildford first

To be fair Marc you still might get it, afterall the car is made in the same factory as the JDM cars so if it is on the build instruction why won't you get it in the car?

Good point Tif. Besides, not buying the car just to play music! (Just give me a build date please - how long does it take to build and deliver?)

These sound like the US badges - when I saw them the first thing I (like you) thought was 'the polish is going top be a right pain to get out of those gaps (subsequently there has been a post on the wash and wax forum on this very subject.

Still, it' no big deal -
