Injen HydroShield
#11
Power loss is minimal, so much so I doubt even one horse. I had one on my car, it ran identical BHP with Injen CAI + hydroshield as it did when standard box was on - FYI - 181bhp with & without
It isn't hydro-locking that is of concern, it is the damp weather causing bogging down, especially on those fine-rain conditions. I experienced a serious amount of power loss on the M6 some years back, I actually thought I had blown the engine.
Fitting Hydro-shield on a CAI is a deffinite must if you have as I did, cut out the fake vents. Photos:

Hydrolock. Bollocks.
This isn't a Landrover, so you are not driving through rivers of the Sernegeti presumably.
Sales...sales..sales.
As for power loss in the rain - why bother fitting the CAi in the first place?
No compute...

Why do you need a hydrosock for an fipk? it resides in the engine bay.
The AEM with a hydroshield will negate the performance somewhat not that it makes a lot power to begin with . hydrolock with a hydrosock thing can still happen I don't care what anyone thinks, I've rescued my mate when it happened to him so I can vouch for seeing it happen, of course he drove through a puddle .

As I said before, if there are no gains, why fit the CAI in the first place?
Maybe my logical mind, but if people want to throw dosh away and pay more insurance, you can send me the cash instread.
I'll accept 75% of the cost of the CAI and socks/cocks or whatever else is needed
Paypal accepted.
