We are looking for our third S and it won't be older than a 57 plate.

Doubt it. I had one for 6 years and it was flawless.
And I have had an 09 S2k for 3 years and it has been flawless too. Now that is tempting fate...

I've extended the warranty on mine and as far as I know I can after 3 years extend it again at the end of that, keeps me reassured that if something does happen I'm covered.
Yep, you can extend it up to 10 years if you wish. Given the low cost and the inclusion of European Roadside Recovery, it's a no-brainer.

400 pounds a year is low cost?

That's what I've been quoted.

John, nearer £250-£300 per year is easily achievable if you phone around some dealers. (Try Brayley Hemel on 01442 233455 and ask to speak to David.)

Thanks Simon.

Is that correct? I was only able to cover up to eight years (through Brayley, Hemel Hempstead). I would have covered up to ten if that had been permissable.

My cover ran out on 31st January this year, when the car reached 10 years old.

Aftermarket warranties are also available fro the like likes of Warranty direct, so it may be worth investigating those options as well.

Yes just a case of shopping around. I took out 3 year extended warranty for £650 and £50 more for "wear and tear" cover. £700 (incl Vat).

Christ I hope whoever you spoke to was wearing a mask, I did £700 for 3 years which now includes wear and tear cover.
