Just rung the dealer and a new gearbox and diff have been fitted. Honda were due to come out yesterday to investigate the engine noise but never arrived - Monday will be the start of week 5 that they have had the car!

I don't think it took that long to build the car in Japan!

Well August will have gone and I will have missed what summer we had - at least the CRV didn't baulk at the flooded roads!

How many people have 08/09 cars that DO NOT have the engine/transmission issues that this thread discusses? Post up please, I want an 08/09 and I am trying to gauge the chances of getting a duff one.

If you do the maths, the majority.

I would also add that not all noises "diagnosed" through a text based forum are, nor will be the same thing. As demonstrated by a couple of recent examples.
