So sorry that you will be leaving the S2000 fold. I would be interested in what you are offered and why, when you change the car so that I can compare it with what I was offered on my 06 'S' when I bought the 09 one. A serious complaint to Honda if the offer is markedly less! PM me when you know.

Trish, hope you're having a wonderful holiday.

Sorry to hear so many are thinking of leaving due to the recurring engine problems.

I never thought when I bought my S2000 that such a thread would exist - they were considered bomb proof in 2007!

CJ, join me in something German and topless!

Be patient little one However some night time top down driving has made me fall in love with the car again....

Just back from York and I must say they are a pleasure to deal with compared to previous garages. Found them to be very open and willing to discuss problems and not just throw the keys back at me after listening to the car. I got to sit down with the General Manager of the dealer who was great and took time to discuss the issues with me. I've sent him a link to this thread because he was interested in the fact that Alan has had his car in recently for the same problem and they had authorised a replacement gearbox/diff but also because this thread shows quite clearly the problems we are having.

Anyway, they can hear the whine on my S and HUK have suggested they check to see if my diff oil was changed at 27k (showed him worksheet from Bristol Honda which shows it was). They have then come back with change gearbox oil and take it for a test drive All this after 5pm so too late in the day.....So basically another wasted day because no resolution however I do feel more positive with this dealer.

Pete - will speak to you tomorrow about moving this forward

I agree. Mr Sidewaysonfire bought a Civic Type R 2010 model and the list is endless of the crap he had with that!
