Default increasing wheel weights

I am looking to change aloys but most of the wheels I like are around 2 to 3 KG more than the oem wheels, I like to drive in a spirited manner especially on country back roads (when safe)where the surface is not ideal. What should I expect to see if I fit heavier wheels or is the difference only noticable on the limmit on track.

What size are the wheels?

If they are bigger there will also be an increase in the weight of the tyres.

What would lets say fitting Racing Hart 18"'s do? They are rated at 0.4Kg more than Stock for front and 1Kg more for rears. No idea how much extra the tires weigh.

18" wheels will give you a harsher ride and may cause some rubbing, depending on the width and offsets.

They also tend to be wider than stock so the bigger tyres will also add a few kg to unsprung weight.

Any experience with the Racing Harts? And with a minor increase in weight is the ride really that bad? I mean I can live with it being bumpy on pot holes etc but is overall ride really so bad?

(I am only aware of one set of 18" Racing Harts in the UK and these came off a car that had a turbo and rock hard suspension.)

Not sure exactly how they will perform. Let us know.

17 x 7.5 fronts 17 x 8 rear nothing extreem
I like the look of the wheels but if it seriously effects the way the car handles I will have to think about it.
how will it effect the car?

Will fitting a Tein kit solve the hard ride?

In my limited experience Tein like rock hard suspension springs for that proper race feeling
