Import Number Plates
Well, I'm getting my Private Plate put on MY00, and wanted to find out the best type of number plate to get.
I am aware that some people get the 'sticker type' that stick onto the front bumper or bonnet - Where do you get this from and how much? Is it completely legal
Motorbike (mini) plates on the Front bumper (Seen on a few S's) - Again legality?
And Number plate sizes?
MY00 has no numberplate holder and I had the holes filled in.
Anyone car to post any pics or share some info??
Az

My plate is S20 JEL, I had a standard sized one 'trimmed down' in place of the plater holder but wanted something better (smaller). I got a bike one done but it is comically small, wont use it. I have just got a 3/4 one done which is perfect (to be fitted soon). I'll PM you who did it for

Nothing's completely legal apart from the full sized plates with the proper lettering and proper BS mark and name of the dealer that made them. Mine are the right size and lettering, but with no mark and dealer, which means although I'm unlikely to get stopped, they're not legal.
People think imports are exempt, but that's not at all true. The only rule for imports is that you can get away with slightly smaller plates if there isn't room to physically fit a normal sized one, and then you still need the dealer stamp and BS mark. I assume our rear plates are slightly smaller? Not sure.

Its a 3/4 size plate from www.fancyplates.com and is glued directly onto the nose of the car using the supplied pads.
The plates are completey clear as I advertise for no one whatever the law
