Default Immobiliser issue

My car has been totally stripped, and after putting the dash back in, seems to be an immobiliser problem

Turn the kay and all electrics are on, but no flashing green key on the dash. It's either fried or there's a connector issue somewhere.

Any ideas?

I have an AEM EMS but this was fitted a long time ago.

Found this guide here but suspect it's not for an 04...

I had this a fortnight ago. similarly after stripping the dash and putting it back together. the difference was I didnt actually remove the loom but disconnected all connectors and carelessly bashed the wires about to get to the heater matrix. I also fitted a new battery at the same time as the old one died.

Started off with no key sign then I went over all the connectors and I ended up clearing all the grounding points down to clean metal. I have to say the connections are frail in a car some 8 years old like mine.
subsequently it gave a flashing key sign and still didnt start. I got fed up, disconnected the battery and went home.

Following morning she fired to life on first attempt.

I couldn't pin point the issue but that seems to have sorted it out.

good luck
