JDMs have square rear number plates, and no stupid ugly headlight washers. It's quite believable that somebody might have fitted UK bumpers to a JDM, but the odd thing is that the switches are there in the centre console. But that doesn't mean it isn't; maybe somebody just went to more effort to make it more like a UK car. If it a JDM, it'll have the indicators on the right.
Don't worry about the 100RON nonsense. You'll want to use super unleaded in these cars because it works out cheaper that way, but it will run on 95 just like a UK car. The "substandard" spec of a JDM just refers to the fact that some don't have leather seats, but much better half cloth, half vinyl, and that they don't have the aforementioned headlight washers, which look ugly and lots of UK owners disconnect anyway. You also don't get the Honda OEM alarm, fondly referred to here as the POS alarm that causes lots of problems. Again, much better off with a JDM.
Everything else is the same, apart from the supposed 8bhp extra.

Jap imports have a different sized cut out in the rear bumper for their different shaped rear number plates, it's an easy way to spot a JDM. If it's an import then more than likely it's an EU import, to all intents and purposes it's the same as a UK car. I think the original Honda warranty was different for import cars, but seeing as yours is well out of date then that's nothing to worry about.
You can run it on Regular or Super Unleaded, most choose the Super stuff but it's up to you really. I don't see the need to take the cam cover off, but it's advisable to fit a new gasket if you do. In a UK car you can flip the speedo between Miles or KM, I don't see why a EU car would be any different.

No worries. Quick word of advice though, there are a lot of S2K's out there and prices are very keen, if you're not entirely happy with it, walk away. There are always some good cars for sale in the UK For Sale thread. Get that roof down and enjoy it

Hi mate! :-) I went to view the car asking the "dealer" to have it on the forecourt cold so I could start it. But they directed me to a abandoned industrial estate and drive the car to me! 3 Asian guys. It looked so dodgy I walk away instantly. Tho I would love to know what bodykit it had on it? and if the miles really were correct!? 37,000k with service history it said. Also was it a stolen recovered? As the dodgy buggers said it was HPI clear/checked!? Why did you sell the car? I'm still in the Market for one at the mo. Thanks if you take the time to reply! :-) I'll pm as well Incase uyou don't see the post

JDM's have plastic headlights (Lighter weight), have no VTEC Oil pressure sensor, have an Engine designation of F20C (Not F20C2 etc, just F20C), the fuse box will be in Japanese as will other warning stickers, speedo will NOT have a km/mph label on the button (but it may be able to convert if pressed), VIN Plate will have japanese print on it.
